Each time I go for a walk in Barcelona, I bump into a sushi place. Sushi are on trend, this is a fact. This tiny pieces of raw fish surrounded by this soft cooked rice and alga are just delicious. But will they be as delicious without a inch of soy sauce and a tiny piece of pickled ginger? Personally, I don’t like sushis a lot, but when I add these two little extras, they taste like heaven.

Furthermore, I have a tendency to snack pickled ginger as an appetizer in sushi places. I don’t know why, but I really do like the taste. Recently, I realized that this super ginger is not healthy at all! It is full of additives and flavor enhancers, like: potassium Sorbate, colorant, Monosodium glutamate and others. I started to freak out for my health but I couldn’t quit, sushis don’t taste the same without it. In such wise, I decided to find out how to make it, and what a surprise, it is super easy and inexpensive! And you will have enough pickled ginger for many sushi nights.
